  • Life is Good!

Well, looks like school is coming to a close.  We only have 10 more days, and then I will be free as a bird to sleep in as late as I want in the mornings, and do whatever I want all day long.  Sounds like fun stuff now, but I know I will get tired of it, when it gets here, because I'm really not one who really likes to do nothing.  I will sew, and work in my garden (which by the way, I had to replant, cause the first planting drowned in all the rain we had a couple weeks ago -yesterday was the first day I could actually walk in the garden without sinking in the mud up to my knees...) and go to the beach as often as I get a chance.  And, oh yeah, hang out with Anita at her pool. :)  Can't wait.
At school, we just finished up Achievement testing.  That was fun for a change.  I had kinda been worried about it, but I thought it went well.  I don't know what the kids would say.  I'm looking forward to next week-Lois is coming in and going to give the high schoolers and I some lessons on CPR and First Aid...so that should be hilarious and interesting.
Ken and I have been great.  We had our first hunting expedition the other night...We've been having armadillo's in our yard (telltale signs are all the holes in the yard the next morning) so we were hoping to soon kill them.  Sat. night, Lady (our golden retriever) let us know without a doubt that she had found them.  So we set out, each with a flash light, Ken with a 22. and me with a LOT of fear and trembling.  We found two out under a stump trying to make babies.  Ken shot them both, but only killed one as far as we could tell, cause the other one took off outa there.  Was quite an experience...Man, I think they are the ugliest creatures...well except for maybe groundhogs and moles and mosquitoes. :)
I bought the most interesting looking book today, it's by Kevin Layman, titled, "7 Things He'll Never Tell You".  I got it off the Choice Books rack and I cannot wait to read it.  My first little glance into it had me laughing and wanting to read more...so that's what you'll find me doing.
Hope you have a blessed day!

  • Hey Everbody

...I'm so happy to be alive.  Life is so good!  The bad economy kinda freaks me out, but I know that God will take care of Ken and I.  I'm so glad that Ken still has a good job...some of my friends' hubbys are losing their jobs, and I just want ya'll to know that I'm praying for ya'll.  I would be very anxious if I were you, so I'm praying yer hubbys will a get another better job...
Seems like I prettty much stay busy.  School takes up alot of my time, and what's left, I try to spend it all with my hubby.  The big kids in school, the 6 of em, have a convention comin up, that they will compete in.  I've been trying to help them get all their plans straightened out, and get to the practicing.
This mornin it was 29 degees.  Because this is Ga, the water pipes aren't buried very deep underground, so they freeze.  As you can put together, I have no water, which creates a problem when it comes time to get ready for school.  It's really annoying...but oh well, at least I have water to freeze :)
I think I'm gonna have spaghetti and garlic bread for supper...I always have a hard time knowing what to have, but I've been craving spaghetti, so that's what I'm gonna make...(and no, I'm not pregnant :) )
Hope everyone has a wonderful day...Love to all,   Carm
